Please note that we have reached the maximum capacity for Back-Up Care use for the remainder of the 2025 plan year, so no additional reservations will be accepted, and reservations already made for future dates have been or will be canceled. Effective January 1, 2026, UC Irvine/UCI Health will be sunsetting Back-Up Care services with Bright Horizons. As an alternative, additional support services including free premium membership to Sittercity are offered as part of the Bright Horizons Enhanced Family Supports program. Please register through My Bright Horizons to ensure you receive the waived Sittercity registration fee. For questions, please reach out to the Employee Experience Center at EEC@uci.edu.

Bright Horizons Back-Up Care™ is currently unavailable as we have fulfilled our allocated uses per our contracted year. Please note that other dependent care options are still available through Bright Horizons Enhanced Family Supports.

- Out-of-Network Reimbursement - If the Back-Up Care™ Program is unable to provide you with the care it typically covers, you may be offered out-of-network reimbursement of $100 per day to offset the cost of care you source on your own or through Sittercity.
